A women's self-help group meeting in Kenya

Registered NGO · Ongata Rongai, Kenya

Building sturdy ground beneath Kenya's most vulnerable communities.

Tihada Africa is a women led organisation working across six fronts relief, poverty alleviation, education, health, community led development and protection from gender based violence.

Our Mission

Poverty is rarely one problem. We treat it as the tangle it is.

"To alleviate poverty, promote access to education and relief aid, ensuring social inclusivity for all vulnerable groups in Kenya."

Tihada Africa was founded on a simple observation: emergency aid, education, healthcare and long-term economic resilience are usually delivered by different organisations, at different times, to the same families. We build them into a single, coordinated response led by a women headed executive and governed by a constitution that commits every shilling raised to our stated mission.
