On the ground
- Community awareness and gender equality education
- Survivor centred counselling and legal aid referrals
- Safe spaces for those affected by GBV
- Engagement programs for men and boys as prevention allies
Our approach combines awareness raising campaigns and education on gender equality with capacity building for individuals, families and institutions to recognise, prevent and respond to GBV. Survivor centred support counselling, legal aid and safe spaces sits at the centre of that response.
Prevention works best as a shared effort, so we engage men and boys directly as allies. Working alongside local leaders, government agencies and community organisations, we aim to build a culture of respect, safety and zero tolerance for all forms of gender based violence.
