Home / Mission

A constitution that keeps the mission first.

Everything Tihada Africa does traces back to one commitment: alleviate poverty, expand access to education and relief aid and ensure social inclusivity for every vulnerable group in Kenya.

Why We Exist

One coordinated response, not four separate ones.

"To alleviate poverty, promote access to education and relief aid, ensuring social inclusivity for all vulnerable groups in Kenya."

Emergency aid, education, healthcare and long term economic resilience are usually delivered by different organisations, at different times, to the same families. Tihada Africa builds them into a single, coordinated response.

Our governance keeps that promise honest. The organisation is led by a women headed executive, supported by a small board of eight members and every shilling raised is committed by constitution to our stated objects never to private benefit.

We work directly with communities to identify their own priorities, rather than arriving with a fixed plan, because interventions designed with a community outlast those designed for one.

How We're Governed

Three commitments written into our constitution.

Non-distribution

No private profit

All income and assets are applied solely toward our stated objects. No surplus is ever paid or transferred to a Member.

Accountability

Audited every year

An independent, registered auditor reports to Members annually, with full access to our books and accounts.

Continuity

Built to outlast us

Should Tihada Africa ever wind up, remaining assets pass only to another organisation sharing our objects never to individuals.
